We hold coordinators' meetings several times a year to promote interdisciplinary dialogue, strengthen collegial exchange, and reflect on current topics in the field of promoting early career researchers together with you.
The formats range from presentations of individual doctoral programs to lectures on current topics in the field of promoting early career researchers and round tables on specific aspects of doctoral studies to speed dating rounds for getting to know each other better.
Our training courses are designed to support you in your daily work as a coordinator. The workshops are aimed at both new and experienced coordinators and are tailored to the specific tasks, challenges, and conditions of coordination work. They address current topics and practical issues and provide a space for exchange, reflection, and skills development.

The expansion of structured doctoral programs in the German academic system has created new positions for research managers. Since the qualifications and skills required of doctoral program coordinators have not yet been defined in a job description, in 2013/2014 the GraduateCenterLMU worked with a group of LMU coordinators to take a survey of their activities and develop a job profile (PDF, 95 KB).
